Sending Policy
Sending limits, authentication requirements, and deliverability standards.
Sending Policy
Effective date: 12 August 2026
This policy sets the standards every sender on MailGrid must meet to protect deliverability.
Authentication is required
Every sending domain must publish valid SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records. MailGrid generates these during domain onboarding; mail from unauthenticated domains may be rejected by receivers such as Gmail and Outlook.
Rate and reputation
- New domains are warmed gradually; sudden volume spikes may be throttled.
- Sustained high bounce or complaint rates trigger automatic protective throttling.
- A dedicated or shared sending reputation is managed per tenant.
Content standards
Transactional and marketing mail must be clearly identifiable, include a valid physical or business identity where required, and provide a working unsubscribe mechanism for bulk mail.
Monitoring
We monitor delivery, bounce, complaint, open, and click signals to protect the platform. Persistent violations of this policy or the Acceptable Use Policy may lead to suspension.
